Progeny of Genereux possess exceptional muscling, even distribution of muscles, sound structure and correct locomotion. They are docile with mild temperament. His daughters are excellent milk producers.

Genereux was purchased in France in June 1992 after he had completed his performance test in Lanaud. His test results were excellent and he was subsequently awarded the highest grade - "Reproductuer Jeune" with a Star. Only 7 bulls out of 200 tested were awarded this grade. In the subsequent sale he sold to the Pelletstown for 63000 French Francs which was the second highest price of the sale. He was later shown and awarded Reserve Male Champion at RDS Spring Show 1993
